Dion-Jay (DJ) Brookter is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Young Community Developers (YCD). With over five years of leadership as the CEO, DJ has been instrumental in guiding YCD towards its mission of breaking the cycle of generational poverty in communities of color.
Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Utah State University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, DJ is known for his exceptional interpersonal, business and communication skills. He excels in creating, mending, and sustaining strong relationships across various levels, making him a key figure in the organization's continued success. Under his stewardship, YCD has celebrated its 50th anniversary, marking half a century of dedication to workforce development, education, and housing stability in historically underserved communities.
